The Residents’ Association, Annual General Meeting was held on :-
Wednesday 7th June 2023 at 6.30p, in Unit 4 The Arcade.
The meeting was well attended by members - both Leaseholders and Tenants.
Our guests were Gary – CEO, Grove and Housing Ltd (GEHL) and Maintenance Fund Trustee; Will from Rendall and Rittner and Matthew our Building Manager.
Our Chairman Clifford opened the meeting by thanking Matthew and his team for the wonderful service they had provided over the past year. The block had been kept to its usual high standard of cleanliness and everyone involved deserved our thanks and appreciation.
We were pleased to report record membership numbers and the importance of renewing each year, this is now easier than before thanks to the new contactless payment machine.
We updated on GEGRA’s successful pre-Christmas coffee morning which raised £410 for the Macmillan cancer charity and the fantastic Coronation Lunch in the rear garden which hosted over two hundred residents and their families.
The meeting went on to discuss the problems and successes of various building projects during the past year and all written questions handed in before the meeting were answered.

Any resident who would like to act as a consultant on any of the above areas then please do leave your name and contact details in an envelope addressed to Linda, secretary, at reception.
The Chairman concluded the meeting by thanking our out-going Treasurer Jacky for all her help over a period of some 20 years and especially for all her help in getting the committee up and running again over a lapse of 2 years due to lockdown, and presented her with a large bouquet of flowers, champagne, and wine.
After the meeting, attendees went into the garden for drinks and light refreshments.
